1. Thou shalt not godmod.
2. Thou shalt respect each other.
b. If there are any problems that can't be solved between players, please bring them to us and we'll help facilitate.
3. Thou shalt not cross the IC/OOC line
b. This goes hand-in-hand with godmodding. Please don't assume your character knows something about another character without checking with the player first.
c. When in doubt, ask!
4. Thou shalt keep thine characterizations in check.
5. Thou shalt maintain activity
II. Thread: At least 5 comments (3 written portions per character, unless dropped by the other player/not replied to).
III. Narrative: At least 300 words.
IV. Comments: In a journal or owl (not your own), totaling at least 10 replies, no exceptions. Comments may only comprise at most two pieces of activity per character per month.
V. Article: We will likely ask for volunteers to write articles about in-game events. If/when we use an article you've written, you will receive one "free space" to use for any character. These "free spaces" do not expire and can be used at the player's discretion to supplement a slow month.
c. In the event of failure, a character will receive one warning, and the activity will have to be made up the next month.
e. The character limit is currently set to 6. This will likely go up slightly as the game increases in size.
6. Thou shalt ask for hiatuses
II. If you need longer than that, we will need more information, though we will try not to invade your privacy. We will require communication with you (unless you don't have internet), especially if you end up needing longer than originally asked for.
d. Being busy with school or extracurriculars (especially reoccurring events) is not the same as being ill, having no internet, or moving. Constant requests for hiatuses for "busy-ness" will be denied.
7. Thou shalt choose appropriate PBs.
8. Thou shalt accept IC consequences
b. Communicate communicate communicate! Make sure everyone involved has been heard and approves of the consequences.
9. Thou shalt seek mod permission for controversial or triggering lines, plots, and themes.
II. If you have come across something seemingly-benign that causes you anxiety and isn't listed above, please let us know if you would prefer not to come across it over the course of the game.
III. Please note: being uncomfortable is not the same as being triggered. This game will deal with things like racism, classism, sexism, and otherwise prejudiced/unequal treatment and violence. Some of it is supposed to make you uncomfortable.
c. Any plots involving more than two or three characters (use good judgment here) should be run by the mods to make sure it doesn't interfere with things we might have planned.
10. Thou shalt TREAT YO'SELF
